Pop Experiment is a website for real artists to post amazing art. This website led me to Joshua Petker and some INCREDIBLE paintings! I love it.

I originally joined Twitter to follow Playbill.com but it snowballed. Reading celebrity existential thoughts are hilarious. And often inspirational. Check it out.

There is never too much support for the#arts. I could write a novel on how it changed my life. We need more of it in SCHOOLS, too.

It's a Sickness

It's a Sickness was co-founded by Alan Cumming, one of my favorite actors! You can add five of your favorite things to your profile (mine being Dr. Pepper, FFFFound.com, Glass Pear, Lady Gaga, and Foreign Films) and get updates from people who are also very obsessed with these things. It's strangely inspirational!

Miabi Films

Miabi Films. Such a great name. Its run by some guy named Greg and has incredibly witty (and sometimes admittedly stupid) commentary on very obtuse topics. It's hilarious, and I found a list of 'old lady names' when I was looking for some inspiration for a script. Check it out.

Someone once told me that miabi (pronounced me-Ah-bee) meant “beautiful place” in some Indian dialect. It seemed like a groovy sounding word at the time. And after seeing The Wall twelve-hundred times in some other miabi, the name stuck. Miabi Films had been a revolving cast of actors doing comedic video shorts for awhile. Now, its basically become an outlet for me to showcase my (lack of) writing and film skills. It’s also another way of convincing myself that I’m keeping busy.

The bedrock of Miabi Films was laid back when we were freshman in high school. My group of friends thought we were the funniest kids in town. We’d make these puerile, off-beat video shorts about singing terrorists and leotards. I’d wanted to make movies since the first time I heard you could edit video by connecting two VCRs. Making short films was just fun. A perfect combination of art and tech, on the cheap. I was hooked. Now it’s about using bigger and bigger toys.

Postsecret

Not many things have changed my life the way Postsecret has. There have been some absolutely beautiful posts and I have cried more than once over other people's secrets. It is incredibly inspirational.

Internet Movie Database

I am on IMDB... at least ten times a day, looking up movies and actors and such things. It is probably solely responsible for my extensive movie knowledge. And I love it.

ModCloth is a FANTASTIC vintage clothing website for a great price. I absolutely love vintage clothes, and this website is very good at making me want to own more.

Curly Girl Designs

Curly Girl Designs are wonderful. Some of these designs make me cry. So creative and wonderful! My Mom owns one of these laptop skins and it's DARLING in person. Amazing.

Not only am I a Deviant on deviantART, I find it incredibly useful to bounce artsy ideas off other artists. There is some INCREDIBLE art here, and it's all shown by the actual artists.

FFFFOUND!

FFFFOUND! is perhaps the greatest collection of found art I've ever seen. I go here often, especially for inspiration, and for new and wonderful profile pics.

Lookbook

LookBook is amazing. These people have some of the greatest style ever. It makes me want to completely redo my wardrobe.

Cory Godbey

I'm not 'read up' on my folk tales, but this Cory Godbey's art makes me want to be! Beautiful illustration style paintings. Here's one for example:
